The purpose of this event is to bring together a broad range of stakeholders on the UN’s Comprehensive Framework for Action. At the event, we will discuss the framework and develop suggestions for its update.
Background

The dramatic rise of global food prices and the crisis it triggered led the UN to set up the High-Level Task Force. The primary aim of the Task Force is to promote a comprehensive response to the global food crisis.

In July 2008, the Task Force produced the Comprehensive Framework for Action. The framework aims to be a catalyst for action by providing governments and non-governmental organisations with policies and actions they can use in their response to the food crisis.
