The CFS is the United Nations' forum for reviewing policies concerning world food. It is the most inclusive international and intergovernmental platform for all relevant stakeholders to work together to ensure food security and nutrition.
The co-chairs of the meeting held in Dublin last May reiterate their gratitude to participants and share their overall impressions out the dialogue sections around the updating of the CFA.
“We anticipate that the Updated CFA will inspire the achievement of common outcomes through coordinated efforts by UN bodies and other intergovernmental entities - at country, regional and global level. We hope that it will stimulate synergy of action among the bodies that make up the High Level Task Force on Food Security, representatives of national authorities from different sectors of government, and those from civil society organizations, NGOs and businesses who are rising to the challenge. This really is a movement in the making”.
